Clearing a Lot to Build a New Home

My husband and I just purchased a vacant lot so that we can build a brand new house. One major problem with the property is that it is overgrown with lots of trees. Before we can even begin to lay the foundation we have to find somebody that does tree removal in Long Island NY. We contemplated doing this ourselves but quickly realized the task is entirely too much for us to handle on our own. My husband is a contractor and has an ongoing business relationship with a tree service company and has already called them to come out and give us an estimate.

This company has been in business for over 20 years and has the most up to date tools and equipment for an undertaking like this. They also have certified arborists on staff that could help determine if some of the ornamental trees around the edges of the property are salvageable. If not, I bet they could help suggest what types of low maintenance trees will thrive in this environment. My husband told me that they are really big on the safety of their employees and the surrounding property. He said we won’t have to worry about a tree falling on the power lines. That would be disastrous. This company also has the equipment to remove the stumps after the trees have been cut down.

We have an appointment for tomorrow afternoon for them to come and give us a free, no-obligation estimate for the scope of work we need to be done. I know we will most likely go with them to do the work since my husband knows them so well, Hopefully, they will be able to squeeze us into their busy schedule so we can start the next phase of building our new house.
